The evening starts as the band plays the perfect California-style beach music as the guests enter the event. This is the perfect way to set the mood. We will continue through cocktails and dinner so your guests can listen and enjoy the music while still being able to talk to their fellow guests.
Once the dinner is over, it’s time to PARTY! No two parties are ever the same, but one thing we know – the dance floor WILL be full. Sometimes your guests just want to dance, Other times, they want to interact too. Vortex doesn’t just stand on stage and play. No! We involve your audience with a
variety of interactive events that guarantee everyone in the house will have a great time!

Who We Are....
Remember the best party you've ever been to? The time where you kicked off your shoes, sipped on fruity rum drinks, and danced till dawn while the band played your favorite songs from Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys, and all the other great party songs from the 1960's through today? Well, you can recreate that feeling again with San Diego's own beach party band - Vortex!
This dynamic six-piece band is made up of seasoned professional musicians who have performed Nationwide and Worldwide. Some of the credits attributed to these members include opening acts for Sheryl Crow, the Pointer Sisters, Edgar Winter, and performing with musicians such as Barry White, The Supremes, Mary Wells, Ike Turner, Sax great Eric Marienthal, guitarist Steve Lukather, singer/songwriter Paul Overstreet, David Pomeranz, Maxine Nightingale just to name a few.... as well as theater including 12 years on Broadway in the "Jersey Boys" band. Each musician has recorded extensively and, of course, has played every musical venue in San Diego County!
